The section of swimming was opened in 1988. Children aged 7-8 are invited to training groups. There are 356 children and teenagers in the training groups of the Aquatics centre. 15 coaches give lessons in 39 groups. Three of them have the highest training category, six – the first training category and one has the second training category.

The following sportsmen were prepared in swimming:

  • 29 masters of sports
  • 189 candidate masters
  • 220 sportsmen of the first category
  • 36 sportsmen prepared in the Aquatics Centre from 1988 were included in different picked and national teams of the Republic of Belarus.

The pride of the Aquatics centre:

  • Stanislav Neverovskiy – the world-class master of sports, the participant of two Olympic games in Athens (in 2004) and Beijing (in 2008), the repeated participant of the World and Europe Championships, the repeated winner and record-breaker of the Belarus Championship.
  • Evgeniy Tsurkin – the world-class master of sports, the participant of the XXX Olympic games in London, the winner of the Europe Championship in 2014, the participant of the World Championship, the repeated winner and record-breaker of the Belarus Championship.
  • Oksana Petrushenko – the honored master of sports (invalid sports), the winner of the Deaflimpic games. The repeated winner of the World and Europe Championships.
  • Maria Rud’ko – the honored master of sports (invalid sports), the prize-winner of the Deaflimpic games. The repeated winner of the Europe Championships.
  • Anastasia Filipchik – the world-class master of sports (invalid’s sports), the prize-winner of the Deaflimpic games. The prize-winner of the World and Europe Championships.
